On Saturday, May 17, the President of BJP, James Kennedy, will join thousands of other runners on the streets of Brooklyn for a half-marathon presented by New York Road Runners.

Mr. Kennedy is running the race to honor the graduates of the BJP Class of 2025. (See their names and high school destinations below).
Kennedy firmly loves distance running in part because it is an expression of perseverance, joy, and community. All of these things are aspects of the BJP spirit, so the race will celebrate those values.
The race course will pass within 2 miles of BJP, and Kennedy will carry the spirit of BJP from Eastern Parkway, past Flatbush, to Coney Island. He will also try to beat his time from last year! (1:41).
This is Mr. Kennedy’s 23rd half-marathon, but the first time he’s running to raise money for a cause. Please help him reach his goal of raising $25,000 in honor of the BJP Class of 2025! Please help him reach his goal of raising $25,000!
All donors will be invited to join James for a post-race party on Coney Island. Individuals that give $250 or more will be eligible to receive this great BJP running shirt.
The course starts with a loop of Prospect Park and then heads down Ocean Avenue to a finish on the Coney Island Boardwalk. If you'd like to cheer Mr. Kennedy on, you can find more info here and or reach out to development@brooklynjesuit.org to find a spot along the course.
